Before the book was published, I printed a series of postcards —part of the project Esta es mi voz (This is my voice)— which serve as a prelude to the publication of the book. The postcard made its first public appearance at the Material 2024 art fair in Guadalajara, where it was distributed free of charge to visitors. Later, I placed them in bars, cafes, bookstores, and other public spaces in Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Mexico City, so that anyone could take one.
Postcard translation: I know someone will read this with a voice that is not mine, but that sound that echoes in your head as you read it is also my voice. A voice that is ours. |
